Step 1 On the CCP main page, select Configure > Router > AAA > AAA Servers and Groups > AAA Servers o Step 2 In the AAA Servers panel, click Add, and the Add AAA Server window appears. Select TACACS+ from the Server Type list box. oStep 3 Enter the IP address or host name of the AAA server in the ServerIP or Host field. If the router is not configured to use a DNS server, enter the IP address of a DNS server.Step 4 You can configure the router to maintain only one open connection to the TACACS+ server, rather than opening and closing a TCP connection each time the router communicates with the server. To accomplish this, check the Single Connection to Server (for CiscoSecure) check box.Step 5 To override the global settings for the AAA server and set the timeout value for each server in the Server-Specific Setup area, enter a value in the Timeout(seconds) field. This field determines how long the router will wait for a response from this server before using the next server in the group list. If no value is entered, the router uses the value configured in the AAAServerGlobalSetting window. The default setting is 5 seconds.
